The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Transportation have invited the Nashville-based non-profit, Freedom Aviation Network, to become a partner with the Blue Lightning Initiative.

Stephanie Lamar and Jared Miller are the co-founders of Freedom Aviation Network, an organization giving survivors of human trafficking the opportunity to safely leave their situation. This organization utilizes volunteer pilots to carry out each rescue so survivors and their advocates can get to safety.
